Une occasion unique de voir la danse traditionnelle japonaise JIUTAMAI à la Sainte Chapelle
accompagnée par des musiciens de tsuzumi (percussions), koto et shamisen (cordes).
Jiutamai est la danse classique du Japon, traditionnellement dansée par les geishas ou maikos,
elle exprime, avec des mouvements lents et bien mesurés, la sensibilité et la délicatesse
de l'univers féminin et des émotions des femmes.
Jiutamai s'est développée à Kyoto et Osaka à la fin de l'époque Edo
et a été beaucoup influencée par le Nô.
 
Sayuri Uno brings her talent to Paris giving us a unique opportunity to see the JIUTAMAI at La Sainte Chapelle.
JIUTAMAI is one of the Japanese classical dances, appreciated for its remarkable elegance,
sense of harmony and sensitivity. It developed under the significant influence of the Noh theatre
in the major cultural and political centres of Japan such as Kyoto (the former capital) and Osaka.
This unique dance style, composed by beautiful garments and delicate - rather minimal - motions,
develops through a large collections of stories, each one exploring with a different angle
the inner world of women and enabling this art to express vividly the feminine universe.
